Israeli Press: BEWARE OF DISINFORMATION

A good article backed up with some solid facts:

Fact Sheet
Beware of Disinformation

A CNN reporter is taken to an area of Beirut and told that the rubble of buildings is a result of Israeli air strikes on civilian targets. The reporter repeats the allegation as fact. He has no way of knowing what was in the buildings, whether it was a rocket workshop, a hiding place for katyushas, the home of a Hizballah leader, or a command center. In fact, he doesn’t even know if the Israel was responsible for the destruction that he is shown.

In waging their propaganda war, Israel’s enemies count on journalists to report first and research later, if at all, and CNN and other media outlets have fallen into their trap.

Israel’s adversaries learned a long time ago that they can attract publicity and sympathy by fabricating statistics and screaming “massacre.” This was the case in April 2002 when Palestinians claimed that 500 people were “massacred” in Jenin. They could not produce any evidence to support the scurrilous charge, and their own review committee reported a death toll of 56, of whom 34 were combatants. By the time the truth was reported, the story had been repeated throughout the world media and Israel’s image was tarnished.

During the last war in Lebanon, disinformation was the norm. Perhaps the most dramatic example occurred when the Washington Post published a photograph (August 2, 1982) of a baby that appeared to have lost both its arms. The UPI caption said that the seven-month-old had been severely burned when an Israeli jet accidentally hit a Christian residential area. The photo disgusted President Reagan and was one reason he subsequently called for Israel to halt its attacks. The photo and the caption, however, were inaccurate. The baby, in fact, did not lose its arms, and the burns the child suffered were the result of a PLO attack on East Beirut.

The media also reported that Israel’s operation to end the PLO threats to northern Israel resulted in 10,000 deaths and 600,000 homeless in south Lebanon. The 600,000 homeless figure originated in mid-June 1982 with the Palestine Red Crescent, headed by Yasser Arafat’s brother Fathi. Francesco Noseda of the International Committee of the Red Cross, who had originally used the bogus number, later repudiated it. By then, however, it was too late and the perception had been created that Israel was responsible for the mass killing of civilians and the creation of a humanitarian disaster.

The Lebanese Prime Minister is trying this tactic again in 2006 by claiming that Israel has perpetrated massacres and has made 500,000 people homeless. No effort is made to confirm these claims, they are simply repeated by the media, thereby reinforcing the incentive for Arab propagandists to spread disinformation.

In the earlier war in Lebanon, there would have been zero dead or homeless if the PLO hadn’t used south Lebanon as a base from which to menace Israel. This same point can be made today, but is being ignored by the media in its obsession with casualty figures and its desire to find evidence of Israel attacking innocents. Not a single Lebanese civilian would be in danger, however, if Hizballah was not controlling southern Lebanon and attacking Israel. This fact appears lost on most journalists covering the current conflict.

The press is also spending a great deal of time talking to Lebanese civilians and their relatives in the United States and highlighting the difficult conditions they are enduring. This is no doubt the case since they are living in a war zone; however, the media has spent almost no time talking to the Israelis living under the constant threat of rocket attacks. Few reporters have gone into the bomb shelters to interview the frightened Israeli families. No one seems interested in how the relatives of Israelis in the United States feel about their loved ones being under siege.

Similarly, every report has focused on the Americans living in Lebanon while no one seems interested in the thousands of Americans living in Israel. It is terrible that tourists and students are having to be evacuated from Lebanon, but what about those same groups in Israel? What about the hundreds of students on summer tours and programs in Israel, many of whom were in the north when the violence escalated? While the complications of leaving the country may not be as severe as in Lebanon, it is still very difficult to arrange a quick exit from Israel, and many American parents are in a state of panic worrying about their children in Israel.

Wars are never easy to cover, and each side of a conflict wants to make its case through the media. A responsible press, however, does not repeat whatever it hears, it first makes every effort to insure the accuracy of its reporting. That is the standard expected of journalists covering the war between Israel and Hizballah.

Sermon for the week of July 30th (John 6:1-15 & Ephesians 4:1-6)

Reading 1

Gospel Jn 6:1-15
Jesus went across the Sea of Galilee.
A large crowd followed him, because they saw the signs he was performing on the sick.
Jesus went up on the mountain, and there he sat down with his disciples. The Jewish feast of Passover was near.
When Jesus raised his eyes and saw that a large crowd was coming to him, he said to Philip,“Where can we buy enough food for them to eat?”

He said this to test him, because he himself knew what he was going to do.

Philip answered him,“Two hundred days’ wages worth of food would not be enough for each of them to have a little.”
One of his disciples, Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter,
said to him,

“There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish; but what good are these for so many?”

Jesus said, “Have the people recline.”
Now there was a great deal of grass in that place. So the men reclined, about five thousand in number.

Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed them to those who were reclining, and also as much of the fish as they wanted.

When they had had their fill, he said to his disciples,
“Gather the fragments left over, so that nothing will be wasted.”

So they collected them, and filled twelve wicker baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves that had been more than they could eat. When the people saw the sign he had done,
they said,
“This is truly the Prophet, the one who is to come into the world.”
Since Jesus knew that they were going to come and carry him off to make him king, he withdrew again to the mountain alone.

SERMON:

How can I not declare the Glory is all God's when talking about one of many....I mean MANY miracles that Jesus the Christ completed in front of a few or as in this miracle, in front of thousands of people. Let's reflect a moment on just how many miracles, healings, people raised from the dead, and exorcisms our Lord did on His short time here on earth.

What man could ever claim blasphemously to being able to do any miracle as our Lord did by feeding 5,000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish?
Here is a miracle recorded in all four Gospels, here is a miracle witnessed by thousands, and here is a miracle showing us the power and glory of God, as well as the love and care He has for us...

This miracle of the feeding of the 5,000 gives me a wonderful reminder about the sense of security and strength we possess knowing that Jesus the Christ is the Creator of all things and is our Lord and Master. I don't want any men, women, magicians, guru's, Roman god's, idols, clerics, prophets, or angels, to take any devotion and faith away ffrom the One and True Creator who came in a tent of flesh and walked among us some 2,000 years ago.

Sadly, people turn to heathen things, idols, and/or give more devotion to men than to the only Begotten Son of God, the Creator of all.
How can these other finite, imperfect, worldly ideas and idols compare to Our Lord?
Lord I can only begin to try to understand Your dissapointment!
Lord have mercy!

I want to point out two important points in this sermon for your reflection. One fact that is overlooked time and time again and has wisdom and truth surrounding it, is the fact that there were 5 loaves and 2 fish. Why 5 loaves and 2 fish? Why not 3 loaves, 7 loaves, 10 loaves, or 20? Is it fair to dismiss the number of loaves and fish as a unnecessary and meaningless point? Is it fair to dismiss this fact due to random and uncontrollable circumstances as we perceive in our own lives? Or is there wisdom and truth as I know there is that there was a reason the boy had 5 loaves and 2 fish.
The numbers mean something...something very important to those who dare to look. If Jesus is the Son of God and the Creator of all things, and Jesus knows your true name and knows what you do before you do it...then why does this world overlook the fact that the child had 5 loaves and 2 fish? I will mention these numbers when they arise out of Scripture, you can ask the questions...

The final point I would like to bring to your attention is verse 16 where it says that the people exclaimed:
“This is truly the Prophet, the one who is to come into the world. Since Jesus knew that they were going to come and carry him off to make him king, he withdrew again to the mountain alone."
Who is calling Jesus, a Prophet?
Answer: Men who could not and probably would never be able to see, hear, or understand that Jesus was the Son of God, the Creator of all things, and The Messiah.

One miracle of substantial magnitude by feeding 5,000 people with 5 loaves and 2 fish and these worldly men give our Lord the lowly compliment to call Him just a Prophet? Blasphemy! Jesus does not qualify as a Prophet or "The Prophet" because He exceeds all worldly definition! The feeding of the 5,000 is a miracle that had huge impact because it was performed in front of thousands of people, but this miracle is just one of many....MANY... miracles no one can ever hope or lie about doing!
Give Glory were it is due.
That is the message this week!
The Glory is with the King of Kings!

In the last part of verse 16, these people as a token of acceptance, want to make Our Lord their earthly king? Jesus is the King of Kings, not an earthly king of the people of Galilee, or the people of some Middle East land. It is another nugget of proof that Jesus was not and is not a Prophet, for a man of this world would surely have accepted the lowly "king" ship these people were willing to grant Him. Glory be to the Lord Jesus Christ Forever and Ever!! He is the KING of any and all the kings...Let the kings of this earth give glory to Him and let us Give Him Glory!

Let's end with the words of Paul...I don't want to comment on this reading, because I could not say it any better...

Reading 2

Eph 4:1-6
Brothers and sisters: I, a prisoner for the Lord,
urge you to live in a manner worthy of the call you have received,
with all humility and gentleness,
with patience,
bearing with one another through love,
striving to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace:
one body and one Spirit, as you were also called to the one hope of your call; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

May we awake to give Glory to the Lord!
God bless you and your families this week.

Mark 6:30-34 & Ephesians 2:13-18 (Sermon for the week of July 23)

Mk 6:30-34
The apostles gathered together with Jesus
and reported all they had done and taught.
He said to them,“Come away by yourselves
to a deserted place and rest a while.”
People were coming and going in great numbers,
and they had no opportunity even to eat.
So they went off in the boat by themselves
to a deserted place. People saw them leaving
and many came to know about it. They hastened
there on foot from all the townsand arrived at the
place before them. When he disembarked and saw
the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for
them,for they were like sheep without a shepherd;
and he began to teach them many things.

SERMON:

These verses show us what great compassion Jesus has for those who are hungry for truth. Even though He was tired, Jesus never rejected those who came to Him because He knew they did not have a shepherd or anywhere else to go. This is what He meant by “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matt. 5). Those who followed after Jesus were those who were spiritually bankrupt and needed a Shepherd to give them hope and direction. This could not come from any one else, only Jesus. Jesus never rejected the crowds of people who constantly surrounded Him because He knew this was His purpose: to gather His sheep.

In the book of Genesis Jacob prophesies over Judah: “The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come: and unto him shall the gathering of the people be”(Gen. 49:10 KJV).

Shiloh (meaning, to whom dominon belongs) is Jesus and He comes out of the line of Judah, making Him a Jew. Those who came to Jesus during His ministry were all Jews. Jesus is the Good Shepherd, who comes from Judah.

The first time He comes He fulfills the Law and gathers His sheep (the Church).
The second time Jesus comes He fulfills the scepter and gather the nations to Himself.

Jesus is not only the Shepherd over the Jews but He is also the Good Shepherd over the House of Israel. Joseph’s sons are the head of the House of Israel. Jacob prophesies over Joseph (Judah’s brother): “from there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel” (Gen. 49:24). Jesus is the Shepherd, and the Shepherd is the Stone of Israel. Jesus preached peace to those who were afar off (Gentiles) and peace to those who were near (Jews). First to the Jew, then to the Gentile. By the precious blood of Jesus that was poured out for us and His flesh that was torn, both Jew and Gentile can now draw near to their Shepherd as One Body who is His Church. The two become one. Jesus was always the Shepherd who led the House of Israel (Gentiles after captivity) and the House of Judah (called Jews after captivity), but now both could have access to the Father through the Spirit of God who draws them. We are no longer enemies with God, because Jesus fulfilled the requirements of the Law and ushered in a New Covenant through His death and resurrection.

Final Reading:

Eph 2:13-18
Brothers and sisters: In Christ Jesus you who once were far off
have become near by the blood of Christ.
For he is our peace, he who made both one
and broke down the dividing wall of enmity,
through his flesh,
abolishing the law with its commandments and legal claims,
that he might create in himself one new person in place of the two,
thus establishing peace,
and might reconcile both with God,
in one body, through the cross, putting that enmity to death by it.
He came and preached peace to you who were far off
and peace to those who were near,
for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

Jesus said, “ I AM, the good Shepherd, and I lay down My life for My sheep” (John 10:11).

God bless you and your family this week.

Iraq in the Holy Bible

Biblical Facts to Ponder: IRAQ
For a high-resolution map of BIBLICAL IRAQ CLICK HERE

1. The Garden of Eden was in Iraq.
2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq , was the cradle of civilization.
3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.
4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq.
5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq.
6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq.
7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq .
8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq .
9. Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel .
10. Amos cried out in Iraq.
11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem .
12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq.
13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq.
(Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the Fiery furnace!)
14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq.
15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.
16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq .
17. The wise men were from Iraq.
18. Peter preached in Iraq .
19. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called Babylon , which was a city in Iraq!

And you have probably heard of this fact before:
Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible.
But do you know which nation is second?

It is Iraq !

However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used for Iraq in the Bible are: Babylon, Land of Shinar , and Mesopotamia.
The word Mesopotamia means "between the two rivers", more exactly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers .

The name Iraq, means "country with deep roots".

Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible. No other nation, except Israel has more history and prophecy associated it than Iraq .

Hezbollah IS Iran!

Question:

If you were to find out that the Lebanon based Hezbollah IS REALLY controlled, financed, and supplied by IRAN (and we all have heard of the Iranian presidents Satan inspired statements that the Holocaust never existed and Israel should be destroyed) WOULDN'T you think differently about the situation with Israel and better understand Israel's dilemma?

The corporate owned media is quite something...instead of investigative reporting, we receive biased "politically correct" lies. If the world was informed truthfully, the citizens of the world who really DO seek peace, could halt those who seek to kill and destroy others...we could stop the propaganda and influence of groups like Hezbollah and the new Islamic Crusades led by Iran.

ARTICLE:
Israel-Hezbollah fighting yet to reach its zenith

"The fighting between Israel and the Hezbollah, which is backed by Syria and Iran, has still not reached its zenith. The Israel Defense Forces' operational plans against the Shi'ite organizations have not yet been carried out. The next two days are the most critical and a lot depends on whether Tehran decides to take a chance and authorize Hezbollah to launch long-range missiles with more powerful warheads. This is a capability Hezbollah still retains, despite the heavy blows it has suffered in the IDF air strikes. On Sunday, Israel bore witness to the use of more powerful rockets against Haifa, which killed eight people and injured dozens more.

The Syrian-made 220 mm rocket has a warhead weighing more than 50 kilograms. Hezbollah was supplied with these rockets as the Syrian armed forces were receiving them off the production lines. The decision to give Hezbollah the rockets was made when it was concluded that the group would be considered part of the Syrian army's overall emergency preparedness.

The risk to Iran is not military, but rather that Hezbollah would suffer such damage that it would no longer be counted as the sole external element of Iran's Islamic Revolution.

DID YOU READ THAT? HEZBOLLAH IS IRAN'S EXTERNAL ELEMENT OF THEIR ISLAMIC REVOLUTION!!?

Freemasons (Part 1) - The Legend of Enoch

Another new on-going series on the Bible Truth Blog!

The Ethiopic Bible always included the Book of Enoch and the Book of Jubilees as canonized text. Have you ever heard of the Book of Enoch or have you ever read it? If you have heard of it, have you ever wondered why it wasn't included in the Holy Bible?

One of the best editions of the Book of Enoch, is the Old Testament Pseudepigrapha by James H. Charlesworth.

Mr. Charlesworth states:"I have no doubt that the Enoch groups deemed the Book of Enoch as fully inspired as any 'biblical' book. I am also convinced that the group of Jews behind the Temple Scroll, which is surely pre-Qumranic, would have judged it to be quintessential Torah--that is, equal to, and perhaps better than, Deuteronomy....Then we should perceive the Pseudepigrapha as they were apparently judged to be: God's revelation to humans." Page xxii.

Let those who have ears...hear!
Now, why would the Masons safeguard the following "Legend of Enoch" AND how does this un-cover knowledge about what some Masons know?

The Legend of Enoch

Enoch, being inspired by the Most High, and in commemoration of a wonderful vision, built a Temple underground, and dedicated it to the Lord God Jehovah. His son, Methuselah, constructed the building, although he was not acquainted with his father's motives for the erection. The Temple consisted of nine brick vaults, situated perpendicularly beneath each other, and communicating by apertures left in the arch of each vault.

Enoch then cause a triangular plate of gold to be made, each side of which was a cubit long. He enriched it with the most precious jewels and stones, and encrusted the plate upon a stone of agate of the same form. On the plate he engraved, in ineffable characters, the true name of Deity, and, placing it on a cubical pedestal of white marble, he deposited the whole within the deepest arch.

When this subterranean building was completed, he made a door of stone, and attaching to it a ring of iron, by which it might be occasionally raised, he placed it over the opening of the uppermost arch. He then so covered it over that the aperture could not be discovered. Enoch himself was permitted to enter it but once a year; and on the Enoch, Methuselah and Lamech, and the destruction of the world by deluge, all knowledge of this Temple, and of the sacred treasure which it contained, was lost until, in much later times, it was accidentally discovered by another worth of Freemasonry, who, like Enoch, was engaged in the erection of a Temple of the same spot on Mt. Moriah.

The Legend goes on to inform us that after Enoch had completed the subterranean Temple, fearing that the principles of those arts and sciences which he had cultivated would be lost in that general destruction of which he had received a prophetic vision. Therefore, he erected two pillars -- the one of marble, to withstand the influence of fire, and the other of brass, to resist the action of water. On the pillar of brass he engraved the history of the creation, the principles of the arts and sciences, and the doctrines of Speculative Freemasonry as they were practiced in his times. On the one of marble he inscribed the characters in hieroglyphics.

Enoch, having completed these labors, called his descendants around him on Mount Moriah, and having warned them in the most solemn manner of the consequences of their wickedness, exhorted them to forsake their idolatries and return once more to the worship of the true Supreme Being. Masonic tradition informs us that he then delivered up the government of the Craft to his grandson, Lamech, and disappeared from earth.

PSALM 24 Sermon #1 (For the Week of July 16th)

PSALM 24
A Psalm of David.

1 The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein.
2 For He has founded it upon the seas,
And established it upon the waters.

3 Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD?
Or who may stand in His holy place
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive blessing from the LORD,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is Jacob,
the generation of those who seek Him,
Who seek Your face.
Selah

7 Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.

8 Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty,
The LORD mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O you gates!
Lift up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory?
The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory.
Selah

Sermon:
How can one not notice the faith of David through the Psalms? As we walk day by day on our journey of faith, we encounter moments when we feel a desire that appears to originate from our very spirit to exhalt our King and our Lord above all other things in this world and praise Him in the best words we can muster.

We attempt to give thanks and recognition to His Ultimate Power, Wisdom, and Grace and give Him a moment of praise for the miracles we see in our lives. These moments can be very special and deeply personal for us, and these times of praise help establish a relationship with Our Lord. When we read the Psalms of David, we see how our words fail to come close to the simple and pure words that David uses in psalm after psalm after psalm .

Pslam 24 offers us an opportunity to reflect on several topics.

Let's focus on one topic, the topic is:
"When YOU come to Church"

Reflect on what this Psalm says:

"The Earth is the Lords" ...and the Lord is Jesus Christ.
"and everything in it"...Jesus is the Creator.
"and everyone in it"...Jesus is the purchaser of the world.
Jesus PAID THE PRICE to redeem all!

"When you come to church..."
Question: But what is the Church?

The answer is:
The ongoing generations of men and women who seek the Lord (Jesus).
These people are the Church.

Now, who may stand in this Holy Place, the Church?
The answer:
Those who have clean hands and a pure heart.

ALL have sinned,
so who are these people with clean hands and a pure heart?
They are those who receive vindication from God THROUGH THE SAVIOUR!

Who is this Saviour?
JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ suffered and died in the place of sinners, thus satisfying the Father's just wrath against human sin, and effecting true reconciliation between God and mankind for those who believe in Him (the Saviour).

If you are to come to Church, HIS church, you come through the Saviour...
through the righteousness of the Saviour, Jesus Christ, you may stand in
this Most Holy Place with clean hands and a pure heart!

God Bless you and give praise onto the Lord!

The Impact of "Peak Oil"

Even though I dislike the typical anti-biblical scientific tone...let scientists report on what it can logically deduce from the "world of man" and contribute information in areas where science is most useful.
Economically and REALISTICALLY, the scenario of "Peak Oil" is true and will drastically change the world we know. Now if you want, we can provide you details via e-mail on how this may tie in to The Beast; but either way this article is a critical read.

Dear Reader,

Civilization as we know it is coming to an end soon. This is not the wacky proclamation of a doomsday cult, apocalypse bible prophecy sect, or conspiracy theory society. Rather, it is the scientific conclusion of the best paid, most widely-respected geologists, physicists, and investment bankers in the world. These are rational, professional, conservative individuals who are absolutely terrified by a phenomenon known as global "Peak Oil."

"Are We 'Running Out'? I Thought There Was 40 Years of the Stuff Left"

Oil will not just "run out" because all oil production follows a bell curve. This is true whether we're talking about an individual field, a country, or on the planet as a whole.
Oil is increasingly plentiful on the upslope of the bell curve, increasingly scarce and expensive on the down slope. The peak of the curve coincides with the point at which the endowment of oil has been 50 percent depleted. Once the peak is passed, oil production begins to go down while cost begins to go up.

In practical and considerably oversimplified terms, this means that if 2000 was the year of global Peak Oil, worldwide oil production in the year 2020 will be the same as it was in 1980. However, the world’s population in 2020 will be both much larger (approximately twice) and much more industrialized (oil-dependent) than it was in 1980. Consequently, worldwide demand for oil will outpace worldwide production of oil by a significant margin. As a result, the price will skyrocket, oil-dependant economies will crumble, and resource wars will explode.

Christian Persecution In INDIA

The Devil lives alive in well in the sick minds of other religious faiths that have fanaticals LIKE NONE OTHER WILLING TO KILL AND TORTURE INNOCENT CHRISTIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS

Christianity is the MOST PERSECUTED religion today... WANT THE FACTS? GET THEM FIRST BEFORE MOUTHING OFF LIES!

INDIA (VOM sources)
A group of junior doctors of Gandhi Medical College in Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh beat up a Dalit Christian laborer for several hours, cut his hair and forced him to drink his own urine in Gandhi Medical College hostel on June 21st. The police sources said the junior doctors started beating the Christian at 2:30 p.m. and continued the thrashing until night. The man somehow managed to free himself from the clutches of his tormentors and rushed to the nearest police station. The police are looking for the unknown persons on charges of wrongful confinement and physical abuse. In Bothli village in Durg district Sunday, June 25th, dozens of activists of a Hindu group, Dharam Sena, disrupted a weekly prayer meeting of Christians. As the prayer meeting was going on, more than a dozen Hindu fanatics surrounded the house, shouting slogans against Christians. They then barged into the house and started to attack all those present. Attacks on minorities, particularly on Christians, are increasing alarmingly. They are suffering a series of attacks and assaults by hardliner Hindu groups in many of the North and South Indian States.

Pray God will protect the Dalit Christians who are the poorest of the poor and give them peace and safety. Give thanks to God for the perseverance of the living saints who remain faithful to Jesus in spite of severe persecution. Pray the Holy Spirit will come in glory to the whole country of India.

JOHN 15:18-19

MAYAN CALENDAR ENDS IN 2012!?

There are many bizarre and very interseting facts about the Mayan Civilization.
We will have a paper written soon about some of these facts at our website
www.bibletruthonline.com but we stumbled upon this site and wanted to share it!

December 21, 2012:
Some predict the end of the world, some predict the beginning of a new era. The basis for these claims is based on the Ancient Mayan calendar. It may seem silly to base a prediction off an ancient civilization's calendar but the Mayans were a highly mathematically advanced civilization. Their calendar is not only mathematically complex, it is also highly accurate (in fact, more accurate than the Gregorian calendar we use nowadays). The page that follows explains the Mayan calendar in more detail.

Explanation
The last day of the Mayan calendar corresponds to December 21, 2012 (some experts believe it is actually December 23, 2012). On this date, the Mayans are predicting the end of an era. The Mayans believe they were living in the 3rd era and on this date, the 4th era will begin. What does this mean to us? The beginning of a new golden age? Or does it mean the end of the world and life starts all over??

How long till the end of this era? ( as of 7/5/06 )
