My Ways Are Not Your Ways
           (Part 1)

                           Exodus 6:7-8

7 'I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then
you shall know that I am the LORD your God who brings you
out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
8 'And I will bring you into the land which I swore to give
to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and I will give it to you as
a heritage: I am the LORD.'"

                           Numbers 20:7-13

7 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
8 "Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the
congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes,
and it will yield its water; thus you shall bring water for
them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and
      their animals."
9 So Moses took the rod before the LORD as He commanded him.
10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the
rock; and he said to them, "Hear now, you rebels! Must we
bring water for you out of this rock?"
11 Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his
rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and
      their animals drank.
12 Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, "Because you did not
believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel,
therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land
      which I have given them."
13 That was the water of Meribah, because the children of Israel
contended with the LORD, and He was hallowed among them.

                           Deuteronomy 34:4-5

4 Then the LORD said to him, "This is the land of which I swore
to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, 'I will give it to
your descendents.' I have caused you to see it with your eyes,
but you shall not cross over there."
5 So Moses the servent of the LORD died there in the land of
Moab, according to the word of the LORD.

  * God told Moses that he would lead the Israelites into the
                        Promised Land.

  * During the journey, Moses hits THE ROCK twice when God
told him to only speak to it.

  * Moses is not allowed to go into the Promised Land.

  * Moses dies at a spot close enough to only see into
    the Promised Land.

                     Was that right?

Didn't God tell Moses that he would lead
his people into the Promised Land??

  * BEFORE the Messiah comes, Elijah will re-appear.

                           Malachi 4:4-5

4 "Remember the Law of Moses, My servant,
Which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel,
     With the statutes and judgements.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet
Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.

HOW THEN CAN JESUS BE THE MESSIAH??

                  Matthew 17:1-4 & Mark 9:1-4

1 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother,
     led them up on a high mountain by themselves;
2 And He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun,
and His clothes became as white as the light.
3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.
4 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us
to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one
for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."

BEHOLD! Moses is in the Promised Land!

                       &

BEHOLD! Elijah is there before the Messiah!

                       &

BEHOLD! "MY ways are not your ways!"
