AnitChrist: Is he Coming or has he Already Come?

Solve this riddle and I'll give you a cookie:

Revelation 17:8

"The beast you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not and yet is.

We know that the beast is the Anitchrist. You must read the whole chapter and chapter 13 to put this in contex. If the beast is the Antichrist, then Anitchrist is the man that was, and is not, and shall be. Remember it was the apostle John who wrote this during the time of Rome.

If Antichrist.....

will be (after Rome)

was not (during Rome)

AND

was (before Rome),

THEN....

WHO WAS ANTICHRIST?

You can't understand who Antichrist will be until you understand who Antichrist was!!!
